If you follow, trends than you are cognizant the Arc’Teryx is the chic outerwear for the well healed. We tested the Alpha LT GORE-TEX® jacket for men and this is a real piece of work. It incorporates every technical feature you would expect for five hundred big ones. Storm hood, laminated quick dry chin guard, tiny GORE® seam taped, something we have not seen on other GORE-TEX® jackets. Laminated die-cut Velcro® cuffs watertight front zipper and watertight pit and pocket zippers, features are endless. I wore the jacket on several wet and windy days and it performed. We could not secure the jacket from Arc’Teryx we had to work through Gore-Tex® and they had the jacket shipped to us. The folks at GORE® were outstanding to deal with, professional and friendly; Arc’Teryx’ s PR firm would communicate only through email, would not speak to us and declined to work with us. Arc’teryx manufactures backpacking, climbing, skiing, and snowboarding product and do not care much for the hook and bullet crowd. We tested the Alpha as a crossover product for the angler and if you have the money, you are getting an outstanding jacket regardless if Arc’Teryx cares about us or not.
