Review
Cloudveil’s 8-x Pro Gore-Tex® Fishing jacket was the primary waterproof covering I used guiding on the Big Horn River here in Montana. March through November you experience 40-degree temperures early season blistering hot days and then back to cold and snow. Season after season on the water, you learn not to trust the weatherman. The 8 x stays in the drift boat at all times. This is a flat out great waterproof jacket, certain attributes that I like are the Velcro® cuff tabs these keep water from running up your arm. On cold days and downpours, it is a lifesaver. The handwarmer pockets are another favorite of mine, add a heat pack and you are set. Cloudveil make great product for the angler and we have tested and reviewed for a long time. We have never been disappointed with wear and performance.

When foul weather hits, this stout angling jacket keeps the fishing good with GORE-TEX® Pro Shell protection. As the day warms, pit zips open with one free hand and upper-arm ripstop breathes to keep internal moisture moving outward. Extended catch-and-release cuffs cinch tight with internal neoprene and won't hook line, while draining chest pockets fit oversized fly boxes and Napoleon pockets zip spools underneath. Handwarmer pockets help thaw fingers on cold mornings or windy days. A shoulder-to-shoulder back pocket stows lunch high and dry, the bellowed pockets are set high for deep wades and the full-function, brimmed hood cinches peripherally in a storm. Complete with a net D-ring, retractor attachment.
