The Boyt floating gun sleeve was the only carrying case we used all season. This is a traveling gun sleeve made of heavy-duty nylon lined with closed cell foam. One of the features we like is the optional length of 54 inches. Another plus is the Velcro® closure that wraps completely around the butt of the sleeve. There is no way it will come open and securely keeps your expensive scattergun solidly in place. We hunt in and around water and shotguns will get wet. The gun sleeve is a great place to keep them until you are ready to snap a cap. Remove the gun as soon as possible when you get back home. Do not keep it in the case it is wet and needs to dry out and you need to clean. Does the gun case float? Try it and find out for yourself. (Yes it does!)
