Montana Test begins its 20th year of testing and writing reviews on outdoor products.

Montana Test does not offer positive reviews to anyone. All products are tested in the field in real time under extreme conditions. Over the last twenty years, our crew has tested and reviewed hundreds of pieces of merchandise. Some pass the test and others do not.

We purchase approximately 75% of the product we test.  The other 25% is tested and then returned with a call tag.

Whatever the results, we provide that information to the outdoor community via X, Blogs, Facebook, and primarily on our YouTube channel and our website.

Montana Test reviews products for waterfowl hunting, fly fishing, upland game, and outdoor lifestyle clothing. We will start testing other outdoor products beginning in 2026. The goal is to test the product in the field, photograph it with video reviews in use, and report to the consumer if it is worth their hard-earned cash.

After testing and reviewing, if the product is found to work as expected, we will add it to our store. Montana Test is drop ship only! Or affiliate programs. Oh, how things have changed. When we began, most manufacturers would not think of selling from their website; they swore up and down that they did not want to compete with brick-and-mortar stores. Presently, with few exceptions, one and all sell from their site, and with that, they also drop ship for us.

Social media was in its infancy when we started. Today, many use it to see goods and services as we do, and we will beef up all social media with our testing videos.
